Traditionally, Moroccan weddings are up to three-day celebrations. The bride often changes into multiple different colored dresses that represent the different regions of Morocco. I remember frequently asking my mother about her wedding day but, as usual, she wouldn't give me many details or that she doesn't remember the day well. Her wedding day has always been a bit of a mystery to me which inspired me to create this piece based on the blue wedding dress she wore. I tried to capture and interpret the essence of her dress by draping it similarly to how a cloth would be draped on her and tie in a beading detail that she wore around her neck.
